We've got something a little different on Tobisonics today. We've got a mix breakdown by my friend and talented mix engineer Magnus Emilsson, who mixed my production for the Tobisonics remix of Novi's "Concrete Jungle".
In this video, Magnus takes you through how he mixed the drums and bass in Ableton. He breaks down the various techniques he uses while explaining which tools he used within Ableton and 3rd party plugins.
He also demonstrates the automation he employed to help the drums and bass sit more naturally in the mix, increase their impact, and adapt the different stages/dynamics within the production.
